A hazy Summer dream. For Ian and James’s wedding celebration in a Victorian Camden pub, we focused on the gently swaying, gracefully fading and painterly ripening ingredients brough by the scolding heat of mid August.
On the tables the sweetest, most delicate shades of rose and blush late Summer blooms and a mist of glistening grasses were lovingly gathered in earthy stoneware bottles. Scented nicotiana, candyfloss asters, blousy roses and frilly snapdragons (to name a few) were paired with golden wild grasses, sprinkles of panicum and velvety tails of pennisetum.
Climbing the Victorian iron staircase and decorating the mantlepieces, pale clouds of strawberry-tinged hydrangea florets and sprawling rose trails were tangled in star-studded scrambling and cascading vines of creamy wild clematis.
